Barack Obama, the first African American President of the United States of America. Sam Cooke said it a long time ago, and he was right, a change has come.

Mike Giant Exhibition. Dope Artwork

Established illustrator and Rebel8 founder Mike Giant recently opened up his latest exhibition “Greetings from San Francisco” at the White Walls gallery in San Francisco. Giant’s particular style incorporates a sense of authenticity with his monochromatic illustrations which touch largely on fixed gear culture, tattoos and women among other elements.

It's me bitches.....

So it feels like I haven't done work on this in years cause I mean like, I'll be frank...I got school and a girl and I mean other stuff I got to do but just when my arrogant, self centered ass thought I was done one man brought me out of retirement. I mean if you have read any of my previous post you would notice two things one I am a weird ass mothafucka...and two I think Kanye West is the man....personally I loved the controversial Love Lock Down and his next to singles off the upcoming album, 808's & Heartbreak and I thought since I thought they where so dope it was only right for me to share them with the world....
So with out wasting any more time....grab a chair....tell your friends brb and check theses new tracks out!

If You Havent Already

This weekend I checked out the Seattle Art Museum, (no I wasn't bored I quite enjoy the arts) and checked out a couple exhibits. The main exhibit was Smoke and Mirrors which was pretty thought provoking given the majority of the pieces were made with, well obviously, smoke and mirrors. There was some other dope stuff to check out down there, especialy the Black Art exhibit which I thouht was very interesting. If you haven't already I encourage you to ake a trip down there it's worth it. Unfortunatly some bitch ass security guard told me I couldnt take pictures so this is the only one I got. As you can see crazy shit goes down at the museum.

(You get to see tities and feel sophisticated at the same time!)

Kidrobama

Looks like the whole streetwear world is gunnin for Obama. Kidrobot shows their support to Barack with their recent Kidrobama t-shirt set to release soon. I have yet to see a t-shirt saying something like Mccain'n Pain!
Like everyone else, I sat up last night and watched the Republican National Convention. Unlike everyone else, upon watching that douchebag (excuse me that was rude) Sarah Palin give her acceptance speech I realized I've met that mothafucka! When I was on one of my travels in Alaska she happened to be running for governor of that wonderful state. Her campaign consisted of handing out hotdogs and hamburgers to the village people at the Summer Solstice festival which I happened to be at. Yea I got a hotdog from Sarah Palin, for free! suckas! Tune in next time when I tell the story of when I met Wang Chung

Kooler's Cousin And Mos Def Freestyles At Magic

Kooler's cousin is Asher Roth which is tight, even though Mos kinda disses him right here.

No Air Jordan 24?

The Jordan Brand announced that there will be no more numbering of Air Jordans. Pretty much the 23's were the last numbered Jordans to be realease. Jordan still plans to release a top of the line sneaker this Feburary. Instead of calling it the Air Jordan 24, they are going to call it the Air Jordan 2009.....WACK!

Lupe Fiasco-I Know Why

I dont know this is just ok to me. The rhymes are cool, the beats ok, everything is just alright to me. Not a song to put on the album or anything but cool listening to.

The Cool Kids-Thats Stupid The Mixtape

For those of you who are real hipsters and didnt know that The Cool Kids dropped another mixtape all I will tell you is, CLICK HERE MOTHAFUCKA! The mixtape has seven songs, two of which were on their last album and one of wich is by Tennille. The songs that are new on the mixtape aren't classics like Black Mags or anything but for the most part they are quality Cool Kids tracks worth downloading for sure.

I Just Yacked Mr. Jordan

I'm not quite sure what is going on with the Jordan brand at this point in time, it seems as if they are just completely out of new ideas. These new Spizike's, featuring a cactus and violet colorway, perplex me in ways I never thought imaginable. Swear these look like I could buy them from the African guy who runs that shop on rainier for $30! I expect a lot more from one of the leading sneaker companies. These drop exclusively in Europe. No say on the release date.

What Happened To The ISH Blog?

Ok, alright I've been sluffin. As you can see the Ill Shopping Habits Blog has been on a brief break due to conditions out of anyones hands. Earlier this summer both me and kooler left the country to do some studying. Me in the Dominican Republic (much studying was taken place there) and Kooler in Panama. We both decided to leave Blog in the hands of my big brother Jacob the Jeweler. My big brother carried the load of the blog for a couple days but soon his hectic life took over and the ball (the blog) was dropped. I cant be mad at this man though, life is hectic. Upon my return I fell into the hectic lifestyle of being 16 during the summer time in the six and no blogging was taken place. No worries all is not lost, the summers over and I've got lots of time on my hands once againI! So, dont skip young world the ISH blog is back written by the BFK and affiliated with the infamous Laced Up....Stay tuned Me Studying In the Dominican

Cosby & Kittens

..Cosby Clothing's recently released summer lineup has taken those howling wolf and Jaws inspired tee shirts to a whole new level .

I can just see Dapper Dave in that kitty shirt right now hahah ..

peep more photos from the release and where the line is available at cosbyclothing.com

Cap. Hill Block Party ..

..The Capitol Hill Block Party is back once again this year, just another good reason to be drunk in the middle of the street and listen to good music. Un-fucking-fortunately their lineup does not include a single hip hop set except for the physics.

The headlining band is Vampire Weekend whose cd I've heard a million times (courtesy of being employed at Urban Outfitters) and it's pretty good I'd definitely check em out if you make it down there which you should.

Their first single Oxford Comma

You can also purchase ticket at Urban (i swear i'm just trying to save you money and NOT plugg them) without the service charge so they'll be cheaper at $18.

http://www.thestranger.com/seattle/special/blockparty?page=schedule

..the stranger has the lineup and show times posted ..

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack ....

Graffiti In Seattle

Just days ago, some friends and eye looked throw a picture book filled with Graffiti in the mid 80's done on street cars. We thought to ourselves, wouldn't it be cool if we had the balls to tag the new Light Rail. Apparently we weren't he only ones who thought it was a novel idea because just Saturday morning it was reported that the Light Rail that was being displayed was "Vandalized" by taggers. The car was parked near I-5 South bound on an elevated platform. It was said to be there to exhibit the progress of Seattle's Light Rail and that they were confident in security of the car. Little did they know that Seattle taggers are quite the ambitious bunch and the first to tag a new light rail gets mad props. Here in Seattle graffiti "Vandalism" as it is referred to by adults and some responsible teenagers, is on the rise by 40% since last year. I myself have seen a rise in tagging around my own neighborhood with prominent taggers like Eckel, Loser, and The Chicken Kid. Adults fear that nothing is safe anymore from these terrible people who vandalise property with no regard to its owners as they refer to them as. Seattle spends over a million dollars on painting over graffiti and installing cameras to parks and graffiti hot spots. Graffiti is not a very high priority for the police, simply because it doesn't matter! I for one believe that people are a little to uptight about the subject of graffiti, so I'm here to explain this for you and clear up any confusion you might be having. There are two kinds of activity's that can be used with a pen and can, one is able to either tag or graffiti. Tagging is simply going around various places in your neighborhood and writing what you think is a clever "tag name" on just about anything you can think of. Tagging is not art in any way and is truly vandalism. Then there is graffiti, graffiti is much more then writing your tag name graffiti is art. Graffiti takes time, it takes first and second drafts just like any other piece of work. Graffiti should not be looked down upon by society or confused with tagging, a graffiti artist is an actual artist and should get the due respect of an artist. Too often the term graffiti is used with tagging and is confused as being the same thing, but if we look closely we will see a clear difference in tagging and graffiti. Society as a whole I am petitioning you to pay a little bit more attention to what you may think is a vandal, because on second glance you may find an artist. Graffiti is art don't discount it for anything less.

Real graffiti art is done here.

This is no graffiti, its Vandalism!

Art? Or Vandalism?

Nas Feat. Keri Hilson -Hero

This is some real Nas right here, very refreshing to me after his recent infatuation with the N-word. The beat is clean and is more of a mature sound for Nas. The song "Hero" comes as a much needed break in terms of content in Nas's upcoming album, entitled Nas, which mostly talks about subjects pertaining to the N-word and race in America. Some of his recent song titles include: Ya’ll My Niggas, N.I.G.G.E.R. (The Slave and the Master), and Be A Nigger too. The album is set to release July 15th.

Air Max 90 Infrared Retro

In my opinon the most desireable colorway of the Air Max 90. Re released once already these are sure to fly of the shelves in days. Look for these in selecet Nike retailers late July.

DC 80's pack

The DC 08 fall collection presents the 80's Pack. These sneakers are inspired by Tokyo nights hence the bright colors and Japanese writing on the side. These are absolutely ludicrous, I love them. Look for them at select retailers.

Ether 2?

Ok so maybe not but Nas finally appears to retaliating to shots thrown at him by 50 cent on tracks "piggy bank" and "Queens get the money" New Nas lyrics seem to be directed at 50.......

"Niggas is still hatin/talkin that Nas done fell off with rhyming /he'd rather floss with diamonds/they pray please god let him spit that oozie in the army lining that shorty doo-wop rolling oowops in the park reclining take twenty-seven mc's put em /in a line and they out of alignment/my assignment said she said retirement hiding behind 8 Mile and The Chronic/get rich but dies rhyming/this is high science/now add 23 more from queens to b'more/i'm over they heads like a bulimic on a seesaw/now that's 50 porch monkeys ate up at the same time"

Jay-Z Looking To Break Into The Show

So apparently owning half the world just is not enough Jay-z is reportedly looking in to buying a piece of the New York Yankees. He already has his share of the New Jersey Nets, but the Yankees, thats on a whole diffrent level. Thats big pimpin!

New Lupe

This I like ... I dont no if its going to be on his next and last album L.U.P-End but its nice. After hearing this and his last new song "Cold War" I'm thinking that L.U.P.-End will be more of the deep Lupe that we saw on The Cool and less of the Lupe that we saw on Food and Liquor

New Common

It's better then the last one but still....Not....Not Common its just not his bread and butter....but its allright...Click Here

The Game Feat. Travis Barker

Red Magic Game And Lil Wayne
